methods accessible to the beginner blogger

Blogging is a particularly enjoyable and interesting activity. It can also be time-consuming. Fortunately, it is possible to generate an income: earning 100$ per day with your blog is feasible. Let me explain how.

Methods to make money with your blog:

Methods to win with your blog:

Earning with your blog is not enough to talk about an alternative income. Even less to consider making a living from it.

However, this is not negligible. Because we are talking about passive income

Certainly, creating quality content and then making your blog known, it takes time. But all this accumulates and participates in the value of your site. And when everything is in place, everything else is done on its own.

Including remuneration.

Earning $ 100 with your blog, it allows you to go back a lot in your expenses. Because a blog costs less than $100 per year. The rest is profit :-)

And then, once you're at $1000, why not aim for more, whether it's with the same blog or by creating other blogs ?...

I propose you to see simple methods to generate additional income with his blog.

These methods are accessible to any blogger. They only require 3 prerequisites:

  •  an available and fast blog
  • quality content for your readers
  • regular and sufficient traffic

That is, the basis.

If you have that, you can make money with your blog. And I specify that the traffic does not have to be huge: 30,000 visitors per month are enough, or 1000 daily visitors.

These methods allowed me to generate my first income. And they allow me today to earn between $100 and $20 a day on each of my blogs.

Methods to win with your blog:

There are 3 methods that are simple to operate and easy to implement. They are truly open to any blogger. And they do not require any particular expertise or skill.

Knowing how to blog is enough :-)

These are:

  • Affiliation

  • sponsored content

  • advertising

Let's see this in a little more detail

Affiliation

The principle of affiliation

The principle is simple.

You recommend a paid product and you receive a commission on sales made as a result of your recommendation.

This recommendation can be a real recommendation: you talk about the product by highlighting its qualities and the benefits that can be derived from it. It can also take the form of a simple link in an article or page, such as a link to a book on the Amazon site.

The simplest affiliation is precisely the Amazon affiliation. Amazon is not looking and sells almost everything that is saleable :-)

How to affiliate

Amazon affiliate is truly the simplest variant of affiliation. To make it, nothing could be simpler:

 go to their website
create an affiliate account
write articles containing Amazon affiliate links.
The advanced version is to create a site dedicated to a particular topic and whose objective is to encourage the purchase of Amazon products. But that's another topic.

For non-Amazon affiliates, you will need to find a product or training to promote. When your site has enough notoriety, we will come to offer you affiliate programs. Otherwise you will have to look for these affiliate programs. Rest assured, there are specialized sites.

 Sponsored content:

The principle of sponsored content
The contents can take 2 forms:

sponsored links
sponsored articles
Sponsored links are links that you create on your blog, essentially in the sidebar, for a fee for a set period of time.

Sponsored articles are articles published on your site and containing a specific link (anchor and url). Normally, these articles, and links, should exist as long as your site exists.

These 2 methods are both based on links. They may seem identical. But there is one major difference:

The sponsored link creates the same link from several different pages. The context is not specific. But the links are numerous.
The sponsored article creates a single link, from a single web page. The context is precise and specific: it is that of the page that deals with only one subject.
Be careful with this kind of content: Google doesn't like them at all. And if he takes your hand in the bag, he will punish you.

Always follow these two rules:

  •  Never indicate that content is sponsored
  • Always add other links in addition to the sponsored link

The first rule may seem unethical in relation to your readers. And that's not completely wrong. One way to catch up is to be selective about the topics and links you accept.

Basically, even if you weren't paid, could you have talked about such a topic or inserted such a link?

If the answer is yes, go for it. Personally, I have already refused very interesting offers to talk about dating sites or poker.

How to take advantage of it
These 2 methods are less used today than a few years ago. The fault to Google who does not like it and who has raged.

In particular, I haven't created a sponsored link for 2 years. On the other hand, I still publish several sponsored articles per year. They can bring me up to 500$.

There are 2 options: the control room and direct contact.

 The regies
Just as there are sites specializing in affiliate programs, there are sites specializing in sponsored content: regies. You subscribe your blog to these authorities. Then they are the ones who offer you to create content for a fee.

Simple and easy, you have nothing to do but wait. Unfortunately, the proposals are never numerous or very remunerative.

It doesn't cost anything so give it a try. But don't expect miracles from it. That being said, 50€ to start with is always good to take.

Direct contact
When your blog has some weight in terms of content, quality, and notoriety, you won't need to search. We will find you.

The advantage is threefold:

you negotiate yourself the price and the service (publication alone, writing and publication, first draft provided, ...)
you are better paid: 80€ per item is a minimum
you have a direct relationship that will bring you several proposals

 Advertising

The principle of advertising
I don't necessarily need to explain what this entails, as advertising is used by all media.

On the web, remuneration related to advertising can take 3 forms:

You are paid by the display. The visitor arrives and sees the advertisement: you are paid. In general, the rate is for 1000 page views.
You are paid by the click. The visitor arrives, sees the advertisement and clicks: you are paid for this click.
You are paid by the action. The visitor arrives, sees the advertisement, clicks and then makes an action (registration, ...): you are paid for this action.
The difficulty is increasing. Remuneration too.

Unlike the other 2 methods, traffic has a major role. The larger your traffic, the greater the revenue from advertising. Other aspects come into play. But traffic remains essential.
Concretely, here are the average monthly gains from advertising on 3 of my sites:

a blog with 50,000 visitors per day generates $90 per year
a blog with 10,000 visitors a day generates $35 $an
a blog with 1000 visitors per day generates $20

Some comments ...

On a blog with 50,000 visitors a day, there is better to do than advertising. But $90 a day is always interesting. And it's still easy to do.
A blog with 10,000 visitors generates 2 times more advertising revenue than another blog with 10,000 visitors: it's not just traffic that plays.
How to take advantage of advertising
The simplest and easiest is Google AdSense.

Yes, I know, again and again Google.

But it's not my fault that:

Google AdSense accepts all site sizes
Google AdSense is easy to install and use
Google AdSense pays pretty well for advertising

Conclusion

There are other methods of monetizing its site. But these 3 methods are the simplest to exploit and the easiest to implement.

They can allow you to earn $100 per day. It's doable because I did it. And I still do it today with these same methods.

Of course, it is possible to exploit other more remunerative methods, methods that can allow you to earn 1000 $ per month. But these methods are no longer so simple. And that's another topic.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate ...
